We have only a few rooms that are dog friendly.We are happy to accept well-behaved dogs by arrangement.
We will accept one small or medium well-behaved dog per room. We do not accept two or more dogs in one room or large dogs. We also reserve the right to refuse any dog that we think might prove anti-social, at the time of check-in or subsequently. Dogs are not permitted to be left alone in guest rooms without alerting staff. We would allow you leave your dog in the room if dining with us given that you alert staff. We do also charge a £20 service fee for cleaning.

Check in and Out times - Check In is from 15:00 to 22:00 - Check Out is by 10:00
Deposits
A deposit equal to the first night’s stay will be taken at the time of booking.
For Non-Refundable bookings, this deposit and the full booking amount are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
For Fully Flexible bookings, guests may cancel up to 24 hours before the scheduled arrival date and receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations made within 24 hours of arrival will result in the full booking amount being charged.
The remaining balance for all bookings will be automatically charged on the day of arrival.
By proceeding with a reservation, guests acknowledge and agree to these terms.
Smoking Policy
We are a non-smoking accommodation.Guests will be charged £100 cleaning fee if they are found to have smoked in their room or hotel.
Noise Levels
The Argyll Hotel has an active social scene with live music and bands, which is part of its draw to the locals and visitors alike.It is however also an old building and noise insultation was not part of the original design specifications.This means that noise levels can be high times late into the evening.Fire doors closing can also be heard throughout the building.
If you are a light sleeper or are easily woken by noise, we have provided ear plugs in the rooms which will help reduce any noise you may here.We cannot guarantee that you will not experience some noise levels during your stay, as always staff will do their utmost to ensure any levels are kept to a minimum.
CREDIT CARD SHOW
When booking with a credit card - due to the high level of fraud YOU WILL BE REQUIRED to provide the card you made the booking with.IF you no longer have the card you made the booking with then this card will be refunded and you will have to present a new card for charging.This condition is mandatory for your booking to be confirmed
Bicycles
We do not have any storage facilities for bicycles anywhere on the site. There is a bike rack where bikes can be locked up however we will not take any responsibility for any bikes stored there.
WI-FI
We have free WI-FI at the Argyll hotel however, due to us being located in a rural area, signals can be poor and often drop therefore, we cannot guarantee that WIFI works at all times however, we recently installed New UNIFY wifi which has made a great difference.
Booking Cancellation Policy

Guests may cancel their booking up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date and receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before arrival may be subject to a charge equivalent to the first night’s stay

Damage Policy
Damage & Excessive Cleaning Policy
To help us keep our rooms clean and comfortable for all guests, we do not require a security deposit. However, guests are responsible for leaving their room in a reasonable condition at the end of their stay.
A £50 charge may be applied to the card used to make the booking if a room is left in an excessively dirty, damaged or inappropriate condition.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Deliberately or negligently damaging hotel property, furniture, fixtures or equipment.
Leaving the room excessively messy or requiring cleaning significantly beyond normal housekeeping.
Leaving excessive rubbish, food waste or other items throughout the room.
Excessive spills, stains or soiling of carpets, bedding, mattresses, furniture or other hotel property.
Allowing pets into the room where they leave excessive hair, dirt, mess, stains or other damage.
Any other condition of the room that requires significant additional cleaning or attention beyond normal housekeeping.
The £50 charge is intended to cover additional cleaning, damage or housekeeping costs resulting from the condition of the room.
Guests will not be charged for normal wear and tear or reasonable use of the room.
Where damage or cleaning costs are greater than £50, the hotel reserves the right to charge the reasonable additional cost required to repair or restore the room or its contents.
