What's On

The Argyll is also one of the top venues for live acoustic music and entertainment in the Highlands, specialising in singer songwriters, Folk, traditional Scottish music, Blues, Americana & Country.

Artists such as Martin Stephenson, Rory McLeod, Cara Luft, John Gomm, Paul Buckley, Janette Geri, The Bonfire Band, Gypsy Dave Smith, John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett and countless more have played here.

We also have a popular weekly quiz every Tuesday and Redtooth Poker league every Wednesday.

Our current weekly and upcoming schedules:

Mondays - Live Music Session, local musicians. All welcome to join in, sing along or just listen. Runs throughout the year

Tuesday - Fun Quiz. Starts 8.30pm, £1 per person to take part. The Quiz is held in the bar.

Wednesdays - Redtooth Texas Hold 'Em Poker
All welcome to join the regular players for a friendly game of poker as part of Redtooth's National League. Runs throughout the year

Fridays & Saturdays (March - October) - Live Music 
We welcome live acoustic musicians both locally and from all over the country to perform in the bar of The Argyll and also The Ferry Boat Inn, our sister hotel next door. Styles vary but we commonly see Folk, Traditional Scottish, Country, Americana and Blues and most artists play their own material rather than covers. See our Gig Guide for the full schedule.

Our sister hotel, the Ferry Boat Inn, is directly opposite the Argyll, just a few steps away. The Ferry Boat has its own entertainment schedule, all of which is open to anyone to attend. Our current schedule in the Ferry Boat Inn includes:
